Events and Activities Of Spring 2018
1) Spring Aloha
SZABIST Student Council hosted “Spring Aloha” for fresher students of spring 2018 on 16th February, 2018.
2) Your Life Is Your Choice” – A Motivational Session
On 19th February, 2018, Mr. Afzal Khan Memon, Faculty MS Department conducted a motivational session with the name of “Your life is your Choice.”
3) LOCO 2018
ACM, SZABIST Hyderabad Chapter and Mr. Umair Jamil Qureshi, Faculty Sponsor of ACM, SZABIST Hyderabad Chapter organized a Logo competition named LOCO 2018 on 28th February, 2018.
4) Pink Day
On 6th March, 2018, Pink Day was celebrated as pre-event on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Ms. Naseema Munir an oncologist from LUHMS delivered a session on breast cancer, its causes and precautions.
5) Virtual Stock Trading Competition
SZABIST Finance Society hosted a five days Virtual Stock Trading competition for students of SZABIST Hyderabad from 26th February to 2nd March, 2018. Mr. Munir Memon, lead trainer from Pakistan Stock Exchange was the trainer of the session.
6) NLP: A look into future AI Trends
ACM and IEEE jointly arranged an information session for the students of CS department on 1st March, 2018. Mr. Abbas Shah, Faculty at MUET and Mr. Ali Akber Shah, Lab Lecturer at SZABIST were the trainers of the session.
7) “Together for Tolerance” – An Awareness Session
Student Advisor organized an open awareness session named “Together for Tolerance” for the students of SZABIST Hyderabad on 1st March, 2018. Mr. Ali Syed, Consultant and Trainer at Carnelian Co. Ltd. Lahore was the trainer of the session.
8) Cyber Strikes 1.0
IEEE, SZABIST Hyderabad Student Branch arranged a seminar titled “Cyber Strikes 1.0” on 7th March, 2018.
9) Tri-Lingual Debate Competensia
SZABIST Oratory Society organized Debate Competensia, which is Tri Lingual Debate competition for students of SZABIST Hyderabad on 2nd April, 2018.
10) “The Graphic Anchor” – A Graphic Designing Workshop
IEEE, SZABIST Hyderabad Student Branch organized a workshop titled “The Graphic Anchor” on 3rd April, 2018. Mr. Abdul Muiz Qureshi, Marketing Assistant at SZABIST Hyderabad was the trainer of the session.
11) Two-Day Gaming Competition
SZABIST Sports Society hosted a two-day gaming competition on 10th and 11th April, 2018. The prize distribution ceremony was held on 23rd April, 2018, in which cash prizes and shields were distributed among the winners.
12) Humkalami
SZABIST Oratory Society hosted a session named “Humkalami” on 13th April, 2018, in which the faculty and students recited their own written and selected poetry.
13) “Sand Sensational” – Trip to Cape Moonze
SZABIST Student Council arranged an excursion trip Sand Sensational to Cape Moonze for the students on 22nd April, 2018.
14) “WebXpert” – A Workshop
SZABIST Entrepreneur Society arranged a workshop titled “WebXpert” on 25th April, 2018. Mr.Sumair Baloch, Director of “CiC Hub” trained students about online Business.
15) “Green Hyderabad” – Plantation Drive
On 28th April, 2018, SZABIST students planted more than 500 Plants in SITE area of Hyderabad under the title of Green Hyderabad.
16) “Log Kya Kahenge” A Syndrome
On 3rd May, 2018, Mr. Amir Ali, Faculty at MS organized an open interactive session for all students named “Log Kya kahenge! A Syndrome.
Events and Activities Of Fall 2018
1) Two-Day Training Session by Cisco Training Academy
Cisco Network Technologies hosted a two-days training session for the BSSE and BSCS students and faculty on 27th and 28th July, 2018. Mr. Muhammad Furqan, Instructor and registrar of Cisco Network Academy in Muscat, Oman was the trainer of the session.
2) Fresher Welcome and Independence Day Celebration
SZABIST Student Council arranged “Azaadi ke Rang Fresher ke Sang” for the familiarization of the fresher with seniors and to celebrate Independence Day on 16th August, 2018.
3) Treasure Hunt
On 31st August, 2018, SZABIST Student Council arranged “Treasure Hunt 2018” for students of all programs.
4) Defense Day Celebration
Students from SZABIST visited the Cantonment Area to celebrate “Defense Day” with Pakistan Armed Forces on 6th September, 2018.
5) Book Club
On 7th September, 2018, SZABIST Oratory Society arranged “Book Club.” The event gave purpose of the event gives an opportunity to all the readers to gather at one place & share the books they have read.
6) ZABOFFICE – A Workshop
IEEE, SZABIST Hyderabad Student Branch arranged a workshop titled “ZABOFFICE” for BSCS students on 9th September, 2018. MS-Office and PowerPoint training was given to the students.
7) Log Kya Kahenge (Season 2
On 12th September, 2018, SZABIST Student Council hosted an interactive session named “Log Kya Kahenge” with the students of SZABIST Hyderabad.
8) Government School Visits
ZABWELFARE visited government schools on 18th September, 2018, where they discussed problems with the teachers and staff members.
9) Peace Friendly Cricket
SZABIST Sports Society in collaboration with SZABIST Student Council hosted “Peace Friendly Cricket” to celebrate peace week on 19th September, 2018.
10) Inauguration of Peace Wall
On 24th September, 2018, SZABIST Student Council arranged an inauguration of the Peace Wall to celebrate the peace week.
11) Painting for Peace Competition
SZABIST Student Council hosted a painting competition “Painting for Peace” on 25th September, 2018.
12) Mushaira-e-Aman
SZABIST Oratory Society hosted a Mushaira-e-Aman on 26th September, 2018.
13) The Mannequin Challenge
SZABIST Oratory Society hosted an in-campus mannequin challenge on 26th September, 2018, on account of the peace week.
14) Peace Flag Competition
SZABIST Entrepreneurship Society hosted a “Peace Flag Competition” for the students of SZABIST Hyderabad on 27th September, 2018.
15) Session on Diversity and Peace
On 28th September, 2018, SZABIST Student Council hosted a session on “Diversity and Peace” for the students of SZABSIT Hyderabad.
16) Friendly Cricket Match
SZABIST Sports Society in collaboration with SZABIST Student Council hosted a friendly cricket match between SZABIST’s Official Cricket Team and Fresher students on 29th September, 2018.
17) “Splish Splash” – A Trip to Dreamworld Resort
SZABIST Student Council arranged a trip named “Splish Splash” to the Dreamworld Resort, Karachi on 30th September, 2018 for the students of SZABIST Hyderabad.
18) World’s Teachers Day
SZABIST Student Council celebrated “World’s Teachers Day” on 5th October, 2018, with the teachers of SZABIST Hyderabad Campus.
19) AIESEC Winter Recruitment Drive
AIESEC conducted a Winter Recruitment Drive in SZABIST Hyderabad Campus on 25th October, 2018.
20) Interactive Session on Today’s Generation’s Problems
SZABIST Oratory Society arranged an interactive session on “Today’s Generation Problems” on 25th October, 2018. Dr. Mehmood Mughal, Visiting Faculty at SZABIST Hyderabad was the speaker of the session.
21) Career Path – A Road to Employment
On 1st November, 2018, SZABIST Student Council hosted a guest speaker session for BSCS students on the topic “Career Path - A Road to Employment.” Mr. Ahsan Memon Lecturer, CS Department SZABIST Hyderabad was the speaker of the session.
22) Book Club-2
SZABIST Oratory Society hosted Book Club-2 for the students of SZABIST Hyderabad on 2nd November, 2018.
23) Learnfest Reloaded 2018
SZABIST Student Council in collaboration with other student societies and faculty members arranged Learnfest Reloaded 2018, which began an inauguration ceremony held on 2nd November, 2018. Learnfest Reloaded 2018 comprised of 25+ activities including indoor and outdoor sports competitions, indoor gaming competitions and indoor academic contests. The closing ceremony was held on 14th November, 2018 where cash prizes were distributed among the winners of the competitions by Mr. Jawad Raza Khoso - Head of Campus, SZABIST Hyderabad.
24) Corporate Career Path for CS Graduates
: IEEE, SZABIST Hyderabad Student Branch arranged a session on “Corporate Career Path for CS Graduates” on 20th November, 2018. Mr. Ahsan, Lecturer CS Department was the speaker of the session.
25) Session on “Coding for Business and Finance”
SZABIST Finance Society arranged a session on “Coding for Business and Finance” on 22nd November, 2018. Mr. Ahsan Memon, Lecturer CS Department was the speaker of the session.
26) Au-Revoir Fellows
On 23rd November, 2018, final semester BBA students celebrated “Au-Revoir Fellows,” a farewell week celebration.
27) BSCS Final Fusion
On 30th November, 2018, final year BSCS students celebrated “BSCS Final Fusion” as a farewell week celebration.
28) Workshop on Peachtree – An Accounting Application
SZABIST Finance Society arranged a workshop on “Peachtree - An Accounting Application” on 30th November, 2018. Mr. Feroz Aziz, Lecturer, MS Department was the trainer of the session.
29) Annual Dinner
On 1st December, 2018, SZABIST Student Council organized “Annual Dinner” for all SZABISTIANS at Pearl Banquet Latifabad, Hyderabad. Famous singer, Falak Shabbir performed in the event.
30) Cultural Day Celebration
Final year students celebrated an in-campus “Cultural Day” on 3rd December, 2018.
