For the BBA program, the students are required to compete 46 courses and a 6 credits research project. The courses include 42 compulsory courses and 4 Electives from Management, Marketing, Finance or IT to obtain the BBA Degree. The student has to complete 144 credits hrs and an internship.
For the BS Program in Computer Science, the students are required to complete 40 courses. The obtain the BS degree, the student has to complete minimum of 130 credit hours, internship and passed the comprehensive Examination.
SZABIST Hyderabad offers the MBA degree in the specialized fields of Management, Human Resource Management (HRM), Finance and Marketing. The MBA Program is evening and consists of 36 / 72 / 90 credits.For students with 4-years BBA Degree, the duration of the MBA 1.5 Years 10 Courses (30 Credits Hrs) and a research project (6 credits) are needed to graduate.
The maximum time limit to complete MBA degree is five years, Day / Evening programs.MBA Courses
An MBA (Finance and Marketing) from University of Sindh, Jamshoro, he has been engaged in teaching under graduate and graduate courses at university level since 2001. Along with teaching he has also served and remained at different managerial and executive positions in banking sector for more than nine years.
As a professional banker, he has obtained the professional qualifications of banking sector such as JAIBP and AIBP from the Institute of Bankers Pakistan, Karachi. Currently He is serving as the Head of Campus of SZABIST Hyderabad and as Assistant Professor in Department of Management Sciences since October 2013. Further he has been supervising students of MBA for their thesis work and his area of interest includes Finance, Accounting, Banking (commercial & Islamic), strategic finance and strategic management.
Prof. Dr. Asandas Manwani has been engaged in academics since 1970's and has imparted his knowledge in different HEC recognized institutes for the last 43 years. He has taught different courses at postgraduate level in the Department of Economics and Institute of Business Administration. He has participated in conferences & workshops held at national and international level. He is a Researcher, Guide, Trainer and Course-designer.
He is also an approved guide by HEC, Islamabad, Pakistan. During his research activities, he has had a vast experience of Development economics, surveying, analyzing and reporting to his credit in the areas of management, planning, rural development, poverty & credit at financing issues concerning policies. Currently, he has been working as a Professor in the Department of Management Sciences, SZABIST Hyderabad. He is a research oriented person and has produced twelve M.Phil candidates as well as thirteen Ph.D scholars. Currently he has been guiding five Ph.D Scholars and one M.Phil candidate at different HEC recognized universities.
At present he is serving as professor of Mathematics at SZABIST Hyderabad Campus. Prior to joining SZABIST he proceeded to join the Networks and Performance Engineering(PERFORM) Research Group, Department of computing, School of Informatics, University of Bradford UK to earn post doctorate while simultaneously served there as visiting professor in 2004.
During his stay there, he enhanced his ability to acquire knowledge of advanced mathematical tools to do research in queuing theory which is a promising branch of applicable mathematics. This has been his earnest desire to impart this knowledge and equip his students with these tools to enhance their capabilities of presentation at various conferences/ symposia with clearness and elegance. He also served as Director and professor at HEC recognized university for eight years. He has published 18 research papers at his credit in various journals of National and International repute. During his second post doctorate in 2008, He completed a project sponsored by HEC.
Dr. Arshad Haroon became a part of SZABIST Hyderabad Campus in January 2016. He joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Sciences. He has over 15 years of teaching experience at highly ranked national institutions. Higher Education Commissionion has registered him as a Phd Supervisor. He has had his research publications in various national and international journals and conferences. He has supervised many undergraduate,postgraduate and PhD students. His teaching interests lie in Financial Accounting, Business Statistics, Security Analysis & Portfolio Management etc.
Rashid Ahmed Qureshi joined SZABIST Hyderabad Campus as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Sciences in January 2014. He has over 20 years of teaching experience at some highly ranked national institutions. He earned his MBA in Marketing in 1993 and M.Phil. in Economics in 2008 from University of Sindh. He loves teaching Economics and has research interests in the field of Islamic Economics and Finance. He has four research publications to his credit in Islamic Banking and in other management fields.
Mr. Muhammad Saleh graduated from ISRA University with a B.B.A, followed by an M.B.A. in Marketing from IBA, Karachi. He believes at enabling young minds to grasp the knowledge and skills that they will use for the rest of their lives are a wonderful feeling. Good education is, in his belief, the single most important thing we can impart to the younger generation.
He's very motivated to equip young minds to learn more about the academic world, introducing them to marketing, management and other subjects such as marketing research and psychology. Equally important to convey are life skills including treating others with respect, working in teams and learning how to make this world a better place. He was first inspired to pursue teaching during his studies at IBA, Karachi. He was mentored by inspiring teachers who made him realize that panacea for all problems are relentless pursuit of knowledge.
Mr. Rajnesh Shahani graduated from ISRA University with a B.B.A. (Hons) in Finance, followed by an M.B.A. in Finance from SZABIST, Hyderabad. By profession, he has been a banker and has devoted over three years to United Bank Limited and MCB Bank Ltd. He commenced his career in academia with SZABIST as a visiting faculty member first and then became a full time faculty member as a Lecturer, Management Sciences. He has been teaching Accounting & Finance courses at SZABIST, Hyderabad. His areas of research interest are Corporate Finance, Banking, and Monetary Economics.
Ms. Shahira Mukhtar has done her Masters in English Literature from Institute of language and Literature from University of Sindh Jamshoro. Currently, she is doing her MPhil research work in Linguistics. Since 2011 she has been engaged in teaching undergraduate courses and at present she is serving as English Lecturer in Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST Hyderabad Campus. As English is perceived as an indispensable tool in order to survive in global era so, she firmly believes that language teaching is something that should not be confined to class room her goal is to create learning language experience that engage student both in and out of classroom, Developing ideas and strategies has also included an exploration of a variety of teaching and learning styles, including didactic, group and pair work, use of textbooks and open-ended research. As Albert Einstein said "I never teach my pupils. I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn".
Ms. Maryam Qureshi has graduated from Isra University and obtained MBA in Finance from SZABIST Hyderabad. Previously, she has worked as a Data Analyst at MIS Section of Government Project during MBA. Moreover, after completing her studies she joined banking sector as a Management Trainee Officer. Currently, she is serving as a Lecturer at SZABIST Hyderabad in the department of Management Sciences. Her major interests fall under the domain of Finance and Islamic Banking.
Ms. Rifah Arshad joined SZABIST as a Lecturer in the Department of Management Sciences in January 2016. By profession, she has been a banker and has devoted almost two years to Banking Industry. She was also Visiting Faculty at SZABIST and served on this capacity for the period of six month. She earned her BBA degree in Human Resource Management from University of Sindh and her MBA degree with distinction in Finance from SZABIST. Her major interests fall under the domain of Marketing, HRM and Management.
Mr. Afzal Khan graduated from University of Sindh with a B.B.A(Hons) followed by an M.B.A in Human Resources Management from SZABIST Hyderabad. He started his professional journey with Premeir Group as HR officer. He further continued with SZABIST and University of Sindh as visiting faculty currently working as Lecturer at Department of Management sciences at SZABIST. He appreciates the remarkable impact that teachers have on youth throughout life. Therefore as a teacher he wants to cultivate open minds, the knowledge and ability to look at the world critically,and student's belief in their own capacity to make positive contribution to society. His teaching interests are focused towards HRM, Management , Organizational Behavior and other subjects of Human Resource Management.
Ikramuddin Junejo graduated from IQRA University Karachi, MBA- MPhil (Supply Chain Management). Currently, he is doing his PhD from ISRA University Hyderabad; he has completed his course work and pursuing his research work. He started his professional journey with Automobile Industry in Karachi as a Supply chain Executive for more than three years; he has been engaged in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at university level since 3 years. He has participated in conferences & workshops held at national level, he is a Trainer for more than one year. His major interests fall under the domain of Supply Chain Management, Marketing, HR and Management.
He has done doctorate in the field of Telecommunication Engineering from the Strathclyde University, Glasgow (Scotland) UK. He has got Nineteen years teaching and research experience in the field of Communication and Computer Technology, which includes six years research experience in the field of Telecommunication Engineering at the Strathclyde University, Glasgow, United Kingdom. Also has Eighteen years experience of working in the Automation projects of information systems of the State Bank of Pakistan (The Central Bank). Currently, he is serving as a Professor at Computer Science in Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (Szabist) Hyderabad.He got his around twenty research papers published in the National and International Journals. He has the honour of working as Member of Board of Governors of Szabist, Biztech, and Indus University.He had been also associated with many Universities as a visiting and adjunct faculty member, and also worked as a member of the Board of Studies. He is also a member of many professional and non-professional organizations.
He got his PhD in Mathematics from Brunel University, UK. Before joining the SZABIST Hyderabad Campus, he served as Professor of Mathematics at some Government Institute. Over the past decades, he has been teaching in several Private and Government institutions across Sindh. He is as co-translator and co-authors in Sindh Text Book Board Jamshoro. Numerical Analysis is his area of interest in research. Moreover during his service activities he rendered as Head Examiner, Moderator and Paper Setter at some HEC recognized University.
Ms Sumbul Ghulamani got her Masters from Isra University. She joined SZABIST Hyderabad in January 2015 as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science Department. Before SZABIST, she has worked as an Assistant Professor at some HEC recognized University. Her teaching interests include Programming Languages Concepts, Human Computer Interaction and Operating Systems. She has different publications at international and national level. Her research areas include Human Computer Interaction and Digital Game Based Learning
Dr. Khizer Hayat is Assistant Professor in Management Science AND in the department of Computer Science at SZABIST, Hyderabad Campus. He got his PhD. in Management Sciences (Information Management/Poverty Reduction by ICT) from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, PR. China. The experience of transferring from Computer Science to Management Sciences broadened his horizon from individual level to group level, from laboratory experiment to field survey, and from academic study to applied study. His research interests fall in the domain of International Business, International Economics, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Poverty Reduction Policies using ICT, Information Management and Resources, Rural Development, Women Empowerment, Project Management
Ms. Sugandh has graduated in Software Engineering from University of Sindh, Jamshoro, and has done her Master's in Software Engineering from SZABIST Karachi. She has been engaged in Academics since 2009. She is now working as a Lecturer of Computer Sciences in SZABIST, Hyderabad. She is passionate about teaching and reading. She has participated actively in research regarding software Requirements More recently; she has been working on research that aims to conjunct data mining in software engineering. Her major interests fall under the domain of Software Engineering, Data warehousing and Business Intelligence.
Mr. Umair Jamil Ahmad serves as the Program Manager (BSCS) and a Lecturer in the department of Computer Science at SZABIST Hyderabad. He has received his Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and secured 1st Class 1st position from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro. He also has an MBA from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro. Currently he is pursuing an MS in Computer Science with a major in Software Engineering at PAF-Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology, Karachi.
He has worked professinonally as a Software Business Analyst and later as a Training Instructor for the Ministry of Science & Technology Islamabad's Pakistan Computer Bureau Government Officers Training Programs. He is also a student member of IEEE and ACM.
His current research interests include:
1) Emerging trends software requirement engineering.
2) Technology Management in business process optimization.
3) Emergence of decision support systems and quantum computing.
4) Future of multimedia and game development.
Engr. Sunny Kumar Gemnani is a graduate of Department of Telecommunication Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro who is currently serving as Lecturer in Computer Science Department at SZABIST, Hyderabad. He also completed his Advance Diploma in Computer System Engineering & Networks from Swinburne University of Technology as an Australian Endeavour Scholar. Furthermore, He is currently enrolled in Masters of Engineering (Communication System Networks) Program. He has recently received an Erasmus Mundus INTACT Scholarship to Poland on mobility exchange scholarship. His career started with leading cellular operator and consultant like Telenor Pakistan and KOI Group Australia where he rendered his services in RF Planning and Optimization domain. Apart from his corporate exposure, he has also participated in Poster Competition in IMTIC 2015 which focused on Augmented Reality. Currently he is working on security issues of WSNs, Minimizing security issues with optimized implementation of Wireless Sensors.
Engr. Saira Muzafar has graduated from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro in Computer Systems Engineering (CSE) and currently she is pursuing her Masters of Engineering (M.E) in Computer Information Engineering (CIE) from MUET. She is also a student member of IEEE. At present, she is serving as Lecturer in Computer Science Department at SZABIST, Hyderabad. By profession, she has been a developer and has programmed software's at commercial level and has always motivated her students to come forward to bring innovations in society in order to serve mortality. She has a poster paper in WSN4DC'13 conference exhibiting the WSNs based Flood/Drought Forecasting System research organized at MUET. She has also conducted research in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its merging technique with WSNs. Currently her research interests are ranged to WSNs, AI, Software Development and Databases.
Engr. Ahsan Memon is a graduate of Department of Telecommunication Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro who is now working as a Lecturer of Computer Sciences in SZABIST, Hyderabad. He is an Erasmus Mundus STRoNG TiES Scholar who went on mobility to Poland on the exchange scholarship. He has participated actively in research regarding Wireless Sensor Networks whilst in Pakistan and during his time at Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland. He has also conducted research in the field of Antenna Design and its Fabrication. He has an international publication, a research book chapter and an international poster paper. More recently, he has been working on research that aims to conjunct augmented reality and wireless sensor networks. Currently his research interests are aligned to WSNs, WBANs and WFSNs .
Mr. Saqib Saeed joined SZABIST as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Sciences and later on got an extra charge of laboratory administrator. He has got dual capabilities as he has recently completed his MBA in Marketing from SZABIST, Karachi. He completed his B.E in Computer Systems from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro. His teaching interests include Programming courses, Computer Orientation and packages and Management Information System.
